A Trip Down Memory Lane!

As this year is close to an end I have been thinking a lot about this year and years past! This year I have jumped into blogging more than I ever have before! Sometimes I struggle with what to write or if my project is good enough but sharing what I love makes it worth it! I have a new project to share today as well as taking a step back to see some from earlier this year!

Today’s project is a scrapbook page. I don’t scrapbook often since just one page can take me ages!! 😳 Next year I will be giving Memories & More a closer look for memory keeping so I can have my photos off of my phone and out to share! This scrapbook page all started with the Powder Pink 12×12 sheet from preorder from the upcoming Occasions 2018.

I was inspired by my photo from Prom in 2007, the color of my dress is pretty close to Fresh Fig. It was my junior prom and my dress was custom made for me. It had a beautiful bow down the back and I just loved it!

I used the flowery cluster from Wood Words stamp set to add just a little rustic but girly look to the page. The only ink I used is the Fresh Fig from the 2017-2019 In-Colors. This scrapbook page really is a collection of some of my favorite products from the Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog! The Wood Texture and Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper, the Stitched Shape dies and the Fresh Fig ribbon! I love how the ribbon is so easy to move to where you want it. I put Tear Tape adhesive on the back so I could fold the ribbon a little to make the ruffled look. Also never be afraid to layer different designer series paper onto each other. Finishing touches as always is some Wink of Stella on the flowers and some pearls!

I took a trip down memory lane looking at my old school pictures! It’s amazing how much life can change, but usually for the better! Here’s a look at some of my favorite creations from this year!

The first set is some of my favorite 3D projects! The first one is a little pocket that holds a small flat Nutella packet. The second project is just a fun decor piece that I used an embroidery hoop and designer series paper. The last 3D project is a gift bag for some birthday goodies! I used the treat bags die in a different way that what is normally used.

Last but of course not least! These three cards are my top 3 favorites from this year! I think I stepped out of my comfort zone with layering shapes and adding texture. The funny thing is all three are all kind of the same card sketch! Oops! Haha I guess that was my favorite style this year! Check out the embossing on the designer series paper! Isn’t that a fun technique?

Well off to go finish helping my dad paint! Can’t wait until OnStage Atlanta in April! Crossing my fingers for Display Stamper again!

I hope you have a great weekend and make sure to get a little inky!

Keep Stampin’!

Let it Snow!

Now that we’re in December the cold weather is starting to come more often! I am not a lover of cold weather but I look forward to Christmas and being in some cozy warm blankets! We do not get a lot of snow here in North Carolina since we’re not in the mountains. I am thankful for this! I like having like 1 snow storm that lets me make some chili and enjoy a couple days in the snow and then back inside to warm up. We did get a small snow storm last night and today! It wasn’t a lot so it was nice! It was still very pretty and just feels magical! Winter is the perfect time to stay in the house and get creative making cards, home decor and gifts!

This card sentiment is Let it snow from Merry Little Labels! It has a coordinating punch that you can get as a bundle price for 10% savings! Who doesn’t like saving money?!

I used copper embossing powder and the watercolor wash background stamp to do a dramatic background!

I also embossed the sentiment in white onto a piece of the Wood Texture designer series paper! I love how rustic it looks!

To set it off a little I added the delicate doily. I used the black and white buffalo plaid designer series paper for a strip underneath the sentiment. IMG_5062

The card is on a Tranquil Tide card stock. I love how this card turned out! I was a little worried there would be too much Copper! I’m not sure that is even a thing! Haha Copper is so royal and timeless!

I have some exciting news! Sale-A-Bration starts in January and I am going to start a Stamp Club! More information will be posted in the coming weeks so keep an eye out! Sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss out on the information! I will be sharing it there first with a little extra goodie for my newsletter subscribers!

Do you get snow from where you live? Tell me in the comments! During December if you place an order you will get the upcoming Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs for free and it will include coupons and a new embellishment! Use the Hostess Code: M3PQ9C6S

Stay warm and Keep Stampin’!

Have a great Friday night!!

Sheer Woodgrain

Back home from visiting my family and having my last Christmas card class in her area. I love having some stamping time with my friends! Today was my day to get some rest, catch up on some training and, chores! My man and I even put together October’s Paper Pumpkin for our Christmas cards this year!

I’ve been waiting for just the right moment to share this Christmas card that has a new technique I learned about at the beginning of the month. In our team Facebook group someone asked about Sheer Embossing. I didn’t know what it was so I did some research. There is not many projects showing it.

So what is Sheer Embossing? From what I got from it, it is heat embossing onto Designer Series Paper. I saw it done in a couple different colors. I wanted mine to really be sheer so I did mine in clear.

I used Versamark and clear embossing powder to heat emboss the Woodgrain background stamp set onto the Merry Little Christmas designer series paper that has the little pine trees all over it.

I layered the designer series paper over a basic black piece then onto a Emerald Envy card base. I did add some basic black baker’s twine around the designer series paper layer before adhering it. I then stamped the Merry Christmas onto whisper white with Memento Black ink and punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch. the sentiment is from the Merry Little Labels stamp set. I did order the bundle to get the punch with it at 10% off!

I really like the look of the Sheer Embossing since it adds a different element to the card that normally would not be there. The Woodgrain background stamp matched this designer series paper perfectly! Makes it feel a little more masculine even.

Tomorrow I have an eye appointment so going to head to bed earlier tonight than normal. I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend!

Have a great Friday!!

Annual Catalog 2017-2018, Challenges, Designer Series Paper, Inspire.Create.Challenges

Inspire. Create. Challenge #005

This week has started off with a bang! As a Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator we got to see the upcoming Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogs! Being able to see the catalog earlier than customer lets us be prepared to share some amazing projects and be able to learn the ends and outs of the products. I love seeing new catalogs! It always gets me excited about the upcoming months!

As of right now demonstrators can not preorder yet so we are trying to patiently wait. The worse part about a new catalog is we forget what we have in the amazing ones we have already!

Today’s card uses a beautiful stamp set and designer series paper from the Color Theory Suite in the Annual catalog. This is our 5th Challenge from Inspire. Create. Challenge! This is a Card Sketch challenge.

This card sketch is pretty basic but can be dressed up. I decided to keep my card more on the simple side. I wanted the colors and sentiment to really be the focus of the card.

I used a Berry Burst card base. The designer series paper is Color Theory. The Color Theory designer series paper has 8 different designs in 4 colors. I used the ombré pattern in Berry Burst and Crushed Curry. I simply cut the Berry Burst dsp to show more of the middle of the ombré instead of just the lighter or darker area. I also tucked in a strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper at the top edge of the dsp. I then tied a ribbon around and adhered down.

I stamped my sentiment from Colorful Seasons using Berry Burst then die cut it with the largest Stitched Shapes circle framelit. I then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to add some more volume to the card. Don’t forget the bling! I added 3 rhinestones for that!

As I lay in bed Monday night I know my tomorrow will be as happy as today! Tomorrow I will be stamping and creating with my friends! As I teach class I don’t only teach, I learn! I learn from those beginner stampers that have questions that I once asked. I may do some fancy cards at times but I also need to remind myself simple is great too!

I hope your Wednesday brings you sunshine and happiness! Use the card sketch and create a card to send to the person that’s been on your heart this week!Remember to come join us with this card sketch challenge and link your blog over at Inspire.Create.Challenge! We can’t wait to see what you create!

Have a great day!

A Snowflake Winter!

Here in North Carolina it feels like the leaves changed over a day and now half of them are already off making it look like winter outside. It doesn’t feel like winter though temperature wise, thank goodness!! I love making cards with snowflakes but I don’t want any until later winter! Sadly this time of year I just want to hibernate and not do much. I am trying to get in some routines around the house to keep it clean and me moving. I enjoy watching LoveMeg on YouTube since she is close to my age and lives in NC. She does cleaning videos and for some reason they are pretty motivating. It’s like I’ll watch it then feel like going to clean. As the holidays creep in closer so does stress so hopefully I can keep getting some more routines going as well as start some new ones.

Another routine I need to concur is sending out Happy Mail to my friends, family and, customers! I love making cards but I am bad at sending them out. Anyone else like that? Well thankfully my Christmas cards are almost all done and I can start writing in them and addressing envelopes so I can get them in the mail the first week or so of December.

Erica's Christmas Card

My card today is kind of a copy cat of my upline’s design. This is her card using the Merry Little Christmas designer series paper. Erica Cerwin from Pink Buckaroo created three cards using the Labels to Love stamp set. That is also the set I used on today’s card. She did traditional Christmas colors and I did more Winter Wonderland Christmas.

Click the image to bring you to her blog post about it.

I used the Year of Cheer Specialty designer series paper. It’s images are all foiled. They are beautiful prints! I used a 2″ x 5.5″ on my card. Then I used a small strip of the Foil Frenzy specialty designer series paper. This paper is a heavier weight kraft based paper with colored foil.

Like Erica’s card I used the foil snowflakes. They come in gold and silver plus the back is white so there are many color options. I did cut my snowflake down some since I didn’t want it over powering. The next layer up is a punched 2″ circle out of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.

I stamped the Merry Christmas label stamp from the Labels to Love set then punched it out with the coordinating punch called the Everyday Label punch. Added a couple rhinestone jewels to both sides if the sentiment. Amazingly there were no Stampin’ Dimensionals used on this card! :0 That’s usually not the case for me but glimmer paper doesn’t do well with them so I opted in for glue dots. Almost forgot about my Pool Party baker’s twine!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Winter Wonderland card today! I love using inspiration from my fellow demonstrators and card makers to create a beautiful card! If you don’t have the Labels to Love stamp set and punch yet then you should get it so you have time to create cute and easy Christmas cards this year!

During November if you use my Hostess Code then you will receive Happy Mail from me!  I am already creating some cute Happy Mail for those orders! If you need help placing your Stampin’ Up! order feel free to email me or message me on Facebook.

Have a Great Tuesday!

Flannel Christmas

Over the next 5 days I will be sharing 5 different Christmas cards I came up with for my stampers that came to my last Christmas Card Class in Ellenboro. They each got Labels to Love stamp set and 5 Free cards to create that evening. I love getting together with others to stamper no matter it’s one person or many!

I am just loving the pack of Designer Series Paper called Around the World! When I first saw it I wondered if I would like it but remember there are two sides so you will usually like at least one! In this case I only really like one side of all the paper. There is one side that is just simple patterns then the other side have images that I don’t care for. I love that our paper is double sided!

For this card I wanted it to look like gift packaging! I cut a strip of the flannel looking designer series paper and wrapped the Real Red solid ribbon and tied a bow at the top. Then I wanted there to be a tag that looked like it was hanging at the top of the gift.

I cut out a circle with the Stitched Shapes die and punched a 2″ circle that I stamped on. I adhere the white to the black with some Tombow liquid glue (my fav!) then used Stampin’ Dimensionals (also my fav!!) to adhere that to the rest of the card.

All I did to finish the look was add three rhinestones to the bottom of the “tag”.  So do you think the card looks like a gift package? I am not always an Old Olive fan which is what the card base is but it works so well with this designer series paper.

This look could be done in so many other colors and designer series paper! You could try making a birthday card this way.

The new Stampin’ Blends are now available to customers to purchase! They don’t take a lot of practice before feeling confident with using them. I’ll work on some cards to share soon. If you would like to order them then click here to shop. Use my hostess code: Y4RGGJFM and I’ll send you a full size wide Stamp case you can keep them in.

Have a great Thursday!
