Soft Sayings Stamp Set

Soft SayingsAll Inclusive Card Kit-2

Don’t you just love a kit that you can get a stamp set included in it? Soft Sayings kit is still one of my favorites! The only extra product you will need to complete the kit is adhesive. I used tear tape glue dots and the fine tip liquid glue. I showed you a card here that I did with some of the left over elements as well as the stamp set. I thought I would share some others that I created with the stamp set as well.

I used the Wood Texture Designer Series Paper for all the cards. That paper stack is 6 x 6 and it is perfect for all types of occasions! The stitched shapes framelits are my go to die cut now days! I just love the extra detail it gives to the cards without much effort.

Here’s some closer looks at the cards.

This card is my favorite, I die cut out the LOVE and added Wink of Stella to them. I inked up just the you lots from the sentiment Love you lots. The banner was easy to make. Just cut a strip and flag the ends then cut the sentiment in a smaller strip then add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment.

For this next card I used a few different elements. I die cut a square with my stitched shapes into the gold glimmer paper. I stamped the sentiment, flower and leaves onto a whisper white card stock then die cut it out using the Eastern Medallions thinlits. Wrapped some Baker’s Twine around the card front.

This next card is a great masculine card. Masculine cards are so hard to come up with! This designer series paper makes it a bit easier. I just used some of the left over Washington tape and baker’s twine from the Soft Sayings kit on this card.

This is a simple but was a fun card to create. I used the stitched shapes to die cut a larger circle out of the designer series paper then I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the die cut circle. I added a sentiment to a smaller die cut circle in white. I cut a banner strip rom Tranquil Tide to match the sentiment color.

Last this is the card I first showed in the other blog post I mentioned at the beginning of this post hehe I really loved using the Wood Texture designer series paper as a big part of these cards. The sot sayings kit is $35 which is great because it makes 20 cards. In the end you will have the stamp set and some let over embellishments to use on other cards. Check out the Soft Sayings kit here. I have a party open until this evening if your interested in the kit or something else. If you purchase the kit I will send you the card kit for these 5 cards. It would include the card bases, the designer series paper per card and the die cuts. Everything else is from the kit. Annual Catalog 2017-2018, Designer Series Paper

Pink & Christmas?

Are you someone that likes the traditional Christmas colors of red and green? I decided to try something different by using pink with the candy cane paper from the ” Be Merry” Designer Series Paper. I like how it turned out. I think Berry Burst and the copper foil look good together!

I decided I wanted to change up from the regular same old card fold and style. All I really did was cut 2 3/4″ off from the front of the card. Then I layered Whisper White card stock and the candy cane designer series paper sheet.

I cut a piece of Whisper White for the inside of the card as well.

Then I die cut two circle with the Stitched Shapes framelits out of the Copper foil and Whisper White card stock. I stamped the medium snowflake and the sentiment from Flurry Wishes onto the white circle. I then layered them with Stamping’ Dimensionals and glued just half of it onto the front flap of the card.

Here’s an alternative from my Christmas card. I decided I wanted to make a gender neutral birthday card. I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from Better Together stamp set. I used the designer series paper Naturally Eclectic for the panel and the front circle. The ribbon is the fun new Ombre lemon Lime Twist.

What paper creating project do you enjoy creating the most? I love making cards but I think treat and gift packaging are the most fun to create!

Mini Treat Bags

Do you give little gifts away during the holidays to your postman or bank ladies or hair stylist? These Mini Treat Bags are perfect to make and have on hand so you can add a chocolate bar and/or gift card.

It’s been a while since I broke out my Mini Treat Bag thinlit die. It got a lot of love when I first got it. There are a couple different ways of using the die depending on what you want to place inside it. I have see the mini treat bags used for gift bags of course but also a packet for silverware in a tablescape.

Here’s three Mini Treat Bags that I created with the “Be Merry” Designer Series Paper. I can’t wait to add some chocolate bars to them to give them away to my friends this upcoming holiday season.

I used the 1/4′ Double-Stitched Ribbon in Cherry Cobbler as well as Basic Back Baker’s Twine. I also used the new Corrugated Elements! The Merry Christmas sentiment came from the Better Together stamp set. I love this stamp    set because it has a sentiment for so many types of occasions!

I also created some with the “Naturally Eclectic” Designer Series Paper. This is my favorite DSP in the Annual catalog! These can be used any time of the year and are get to have on hand if you have to go to a Birthday Party or a House Warming. You can slide a gift card inside with a card.

I used the Finely Woven Ribbon and Pool Party Baker’s Twine to dress up these mini treat bags. Happy Birthday sentiment came from the stamp set Better Together as well. The other two sentiments I used were from the new Crafting Forever stamp set. I think thats a fun set for those that have crating friends they can send cards and  goodies too!

The left picture is the mini treat bag but only using the smaller die that is used to add the back panel. The right picture is the regular mini treat bag.

Which mini treat bag size do you like better the regular one or the mini mini?

Christmas Already?

Do you hate to think about anything Christmas until after Thanksgiving?

As a demonstrator we start thinking about it in July! I personally love the holidays so I don’t mind thinking about it for 6 months. I don’t want to skip out on Halloween or Thanksgiving though, because they both are fun holidays that are family oriented!

Demonstrators just got to see the new *Holiday catalog a couple days ago!! I am always excited to see new catalogs. I think because having something new and fresh just makes it easier to fall in love with something and wanting to create with it. The Holiday catalog is amazing! I think it has something for everyone in it this year! From kits to great suites and bundles!

*If you don’t have a demonstrator and would like a holiday catalog sent to you please email me at Hopepapercreations@aol.comimg_3789

Until I can get my hands on the new products I have been using the Designer Series Paper “Be Merry” from the annual catalog. I will be showing you three projects over the next 3 days that feature the DSP.  Now if your someone that doesn’t like seeing Christmas so early then you will like the alternative projects that I created using the same base materials but different DSP to really change up the look and feel.

This first project is a Banner that you can hang on a mantle or wall. I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Alphabet Stamp and Framelits. I stamped the letters with Black Memento ink onto Whisper White card stock then die cut them out. I strung it on the new Whisper White weaved ribbon. I also added a heart from the corrugated shapes.

The alternative Banner I used the “Naturally Eclectic” Designer Series Paper. This banner I didn’t stamp the letters I just die cut them from Whisper White card stock. I strung it up on Pool Party Baker’s Twine. Then hung it on a painted frame I had. Next time I would punch the holes using a smaller hole punch plus do them higher up on the oval so they don’t move as much.

Show Your Love

IMG_3651

It’s finally the weekend! What plans do you have for the weekend? I have 2 gigs this weekend. My man is a drummer and I’m his drum tech as well as the front of house sound woman! Sometimes it can be stressful! So there are many times I come home and stamp before going to bed. It will be late like 3am in the morning but it lets me relax before heading to bed. I have some beautiful Christmas designer series paper on my desk to come to tonight since next week starts Christmas in July! So make sure to come back next week to see how I am starting on my Christmas cards before the stress of the holidays kick in.

Ok let’s get into this beautiful card and what I did to create it. I think this card is perfect to send to someone special to you. We all love receiving happy mail!

I picked out 2 prints from the designer series paper stack. One with the roses and the other just the simple pattern.

I cut them at 4″ and5 1/4″ then but them at 2″ portrait and 3 1/2″ landscape. You’ll have enough for to cards.

This let them all fit together nicely to make it one card front. I adhered them onto a 4″ by 5 1/2″ Whisper White card stock then trimmed down any over lay.
Then wrapped the pool party bakers twine around 3 times then tied off with a simple knot. I adhered that down to a thick Whisper White card base.

I die cut 2 stitched circle a Whisper White smaller one and the next size up in Calypso Coral. I stamped the sentiment that is from Watercolor Wings “The Little Moments with you matter a lot to me.”

Then you know the drill: Stampin’ Dimensionals, then time for bling! Rhinestones and Wink of Stella!! What what!!
IMG_3645

Sharing Sweet Thoughts to You!

img_3650-2

Sitting here at Starbucks sipping on my go to drink a Caramel Frappaccino with a shot of Hazelnut and no whip cream thinking about how each year Stampin’ Up! comes out with 5 new “In-Colors” each year I fall in love with at least one of them! Last year 2016-2018 was the year I fell in love with Sweet Sugarplum!! I love all the In-Colors but I always end up with 1 favorite per set. Sweet Sugarplum you have my heart! No but for real I just love this color!! I will be sad when it leaves next year!!

If you got the chance to read my post from yesterday you know that last week wasn’t the best but with some creative therapy using this goregous Petal Garden designer series paper made it so much better!

I picked out this beautiful sheet with roses that were Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum. The print was a little bold to take on a whole card front. So I decided to cut it down to 2″ by 5 1/2″. Then I added an Old Olive piece of card stock that was 2 1/2″ by 5 1/2″ behind the designer series paper. This helps bring out the Old Olive within the designer series paper and breaks up all that “purple” 😜 Well Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum that is!

I then used the new Whisper White classic weave ribbon. This ribbon is easy to work with. I love this technique of creating a bow. I cut off about 2 inches of the ribbon at a diagonal on both sides to keep it from fraying, plus it just looks nice. Then I take some ribbon still on the spoll and make a knot but not tighten it all the way yet. I’ll slide that cut off piece into the knot and then tighten. I use tear tape to adhere my ribbon to the back of the card stock.
 IMG_3596 2
I die cut a stitched edge oval out of Whisper White card stock and stamped “Full of Love for You” from a beautiful stamp set that gives back. Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set is a Ronald McDonald House Charity set that for every set sold Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
“The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMDC) keeps families close to each other and surrounded by love when their children are receiving medical treatment far from home. You can help Stampin’ Up! support families through the RMHC and the Ronald McDonald House Program.” Check out page 233 in the back of Stampin’ Up!’s 2017-2018 Annual Catalog for more details.

Just for You Petal Garden

This past week I was without a car due to my man’s car needing a new engine. So I was home without a car. This was a little frustrating but thankfully I had this new beautiful designer series paper called Petal Garden! When I first saw it in the catalog I was skeptical because of the color combo.
IMG_3653
Whenever Stampin’ Up! puts out new catalogs one of my favorite things to look at is the new designer series paper!! I always want a pack of each. There are times I may not like the paper at the beginning but if I get it in my hand then I usually fall in love with it! Designer series paper packs are double sided paper (unless its a specialty sheet.) They come in 12″ by 12″ packs or 6″ by 6″ packs. Using designer series paper makes it easier to create a card or project since Stampin’ Up! creates “Suites” around the designer series paper with other products that coordinate like stamps, Memories & More and embellishments.
IMG_3644
Petal Garden designer series paper is just so pretty once you see it used on projects. That’s how I fell in love with the paper before receiving it from my upline (Erica Cerwin) as an unexpected gift for helping out on our team page. I started out with creating a card that was based on a project that she created for Creative Convention by Ronda Wade. I
think the only changes I made was the position of the bakers twine and the sentiment used.
The card base is Calypso Coral card stock. Taking a full sheet of card stock you can score it at 4 1/4″ then rotate and cut the sheet in half at 5 1/2″. This gives you two cards per sheet of card stock.
IMG_3652
Then taking the dsp I cut it down to 4 by 5 1/4 leaving as many of the flowers as I could.
Die cut a stitched edge circle out of Whisper White card stock.
As well as a heart die from the Sweet & Sassy heart framelits to die cut the designer series paper.

IMG_3643

I just stamped the sentiment “Just for you” from Watercolor Wings on Whisper White and flagged both edged.
Popped the heart and the sentiment up with Stampin’ Dimensionals; I love those things!!!😝
To tie it all together I used Pool Party Bakers twines to wrap around the long edge of the card twice and tied a simple bow. The color of the bakers twine is so pretty! Then last step is add some bling and some Wink of Stella to the flowers!!
