Celebrate the End of the Year!

2017 is almost done and I don’t know where the Year went. It flew by faster than any years before! At the end of every year we all look back at the Year to see what we did, the memories we made and the challenges we went through. This year is no different. Let’s celebrate the last couple of days of the year and look forward to the new year with hopefully more stamping!!

The project I created is a banner for a couple that have been very supportive of my parents this year. It was a small thank you since it was their anniversary.

I used the designer series paper Year of Cheer from the Holiday catalog.

IMG_5836 2

Sadly this paper is retiring. Amazingly it is still available in the Year End Sale Event! Click the image below to check out the sale.

I also used the Alphabet framelit dies and some really pretty Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon.

It was very hard to photograph but I love how it turned out. We attached it to their fireplace for when they arrived. I used Dapper Denim for the letters. I punched two hole in the top of the banners. The banner shapes were cut out with the banner framelit dies. I wanted to make sure they were all the same size.

I just love the foiled images on the designer series paper so much!! The Year End Sale ends Jan 2nd so if you want it before it’s gone go here to the Stampin’ Up! Store.

If you use my Hostess Code for December I will send you a handmade card and my customer thank you gift for this month.

I hope everyone has a great and safe New Years!! I can’t wait for some of the amazing specials, classes and more that will be happening in 2018!!

Keep Stampin’!

Inspire.Create.Challenge #008

I love being apart of the Inspire.Create.Challenge Design Team! I love the challenges and that I can hopefully inspire other stampers with my projects!

This challenge is a Card Sketch! It’s a simple one but there is so much you could do with it! Since Christmas is sadly over I am slowly moving into Valentine’s Day or love themed cards.

I decided I wanted my card to be landscape since my sentiment was my main focus.

I used Powder Pink card stock for my base. The designer series paper is from the Whole Lot of Lovely pack. I used Champagne foil as a strip under the designer series paper.

I then stamped my sentiment “sending lots of love” onto a shimmer card stock and cut into a banner. The ribbon I used is the Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon. I love this ribbon so much! It is so easy to tie in bows and you can even change the color by spritzing it. Last but not least added some rhinestones.

Here’s the stamp set Lots of Love. It is a very cute set to create love themed cards with. I really like the big sentiment but my favorite is “Consider yourself hugged.” Then the Deisgner Series Paper here is the Whole Lot of Lovely. It has some very pretty patterns, some more basic and others bold and vibrant.

The Occasions catalog will be going live January 3rd. If you would like a catalog and don’t have a demonstrator I will love to send you one. Just email me at Hopepapercreations@aol.com telling me you would like a catalog and your address. 😊

I will be sharing more information about my new Stamp Club and my monthly card kits! Lots of fun coming in the new year!!

Do you like deals, sales and, discounts? Did you know the best deal in the catalog is the Starter Kit?! You get $125+ value for only $99 plus tax! Free shipping and you get to pick what comes in it! If this intrigues you let’s chat so you can learn about all the benefits. There is no obligation.

Annual Catalog 2017-2018, Embossing, Stampin' Blends

Stampin’ Blends

The last couple of days have been pretty busy! Today I went to see the new Star Wars movie with my love. Then we finished addressing our Christmas cards! I can’t believe Christmas is a week away!! I hope to do some baking still this week! As much as I love Christmas I think I’m tired of making anything Christmasy so today’s project is one I made with the new Stampin’ Blends! They are so much fun and pretty easy to use after just a little practice.

10.17.17_STAMPINBLENDS_SHAREABLE1_DEMO_NA

If you have not heard about Stampin’ Blends they are Stampin’ Up!’s new alcohol markers. They come as singles, double packs which are the dark and light shades of one color and the full collection. Then they also have a Color Lifter which helps lift some of the color if you want to add lightened areas or try to get some color that may have gone outside of the lines.

IMG_5689

This up close picture shows the shading I did on the birds with the Pool Party light and dark markers. I used the Pumpkin Pie for the beaks, I don’t remember if it was the light or dark. The stamp set I used for this project is called Color Me Happy. It’s not in a catalog, it was released with the Stampin’ Blends. You can find the Stampin’ Blends, this stamp set and a very pretty kit under the Ink tab on the left side of the Stampin’ Up! Store. Or here’s a direct link: Stampin’ Blends The stamp set coordinates with the kit and has some great images to color in with the Blends.

This card was created with the colors Pool Party, Island Indigo and Flirty Flamingo as my own color challenge. I just love these colors together! The sentiment “OH, HELLO” is also from the Color Me Happy stamp set. I just stamped it on Whisper White card stock using Flirty Flamingo and free hand cut around it. I added just a small side of a doily underneath it.

IMG_5687

The card base is Pool Party card stock that was embossed with the Sweetheart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. That folder actually has a heart in the middle. So when you open the card you can see the heart  on the inside and I like that, you could write a little note in there even.

143705G

Then I layered on a piece of Island Indigo. I stamped then colored in the birds. I then tied Pool Party bakers twine around a couple times and just tied a knot. Added that onto the Island Indigo piece and then added my doily and sentiment. If you have read some of my blog posts before you know my last touches are always bling of some kind! This time I added some Wink of Stella to the birds and a rhinestone next to the sentiment.

I hope you liked my card! Let me know in the comments if you have tried the Stampin’ Blends or planning to. I will then randomly pick someone to receive this card from me!

Order your Stampin’ Blends today! Don’t forget the Memento Black ink! It’s the only ink to use with the Blends so it doesn’t smear as you color. I have a December Hostess Code open until the 31st. If you order and use the hostess code I will send you some Happy Mail from me! Happy Mail could be a handmade card, embellishment or a card kit. 🙂 If you need help with putting your order in or have any questions please email me! I’m here to help!

A Trip Down Memory Lane!

As this year is close to an end I have been thinking a lot about this year and years past! This year I have jumped into blogging more than I ever have before! Sometimes I struggle with what to write or if my project is good enough but sharing what I love makes it worth it! I have a new project to share today as well as taking a step back to see some from earlier this year!

Today’s project is a scrapbook page. I don’t scrapbook often since just one page can take me ages!! 😳 Next year I will be giving Memories & More a closer look for memory keeping so I can have my photos off of my phone and out to share! This scrapbook page all started with the Powder Pink 12×12 sheet from preorder from the upcoming Occasions 2018.

I was inspired by my photo from Prom in 2007, the color of my dress is pretty close to Fresh Fig. It was my junior prom and my dress was custom made for me. It had a beautiful bow down the back and I just loved it!

I used the flowery cluster from Wood Words stamp set to add just a little rustic but girly look to the page. The only ink I used is the Fresh Fig from the 2017-2019 In-Colors. This scrapbook page really is a collection of some of my favorite products from the Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog! The Wood Texture and Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper, the Stitched Shape dies and the Fresh Fig ribbon! I love how the ribbon is so easy to move to where you want it. I put Tear Tape adhesive on the back so I could fold the ribbon a little to make the ruffled look. Also never be afraid to layer different designer series paper onto each other. Finishing touches as always is some Wink of Stella on the flowers and some pearls!

I took a trip down memory lane looking at my old school pictures! It’s amazing how much life can change, but usually for the better! Here’s a look at some of my favorite creations from this year!

The first set is some of my favorite 3D projects! The first one is a little pocket that holds a small flat Nutella packet. The second project is just a fun decor piece that I used an embroidery hoop and designer series paper. The last 3D project is a gift bag for some birthday goodies! I used the treat bags die in a different way that what is normally used.

Last but of course not least! These three cards are my top 3 favorites from this year! I think I stepped out of my comfort zone with layering shapes and adding texture. The funny thing is all three are all kind of the same card sketch! Oops! Haha I guess that was my favorite style this year! Check out the embossing on the designer series paper! Isn’t that a fun technique?

Well off to go finish helping my dad paint! Can’t wait until OnStage Atlanta in April! Crossing my fingers for Display Stamper again!

I hope you have a great weekend and make sure to get a little inky!

Keep Stampin’!

Inspire. Create. Challenge #006

I hope everyone here in the US had a great Thanksgiving! It is always nice to see family and eat too much food. Have you set up your Christmas tree or holiday decoration? We got a real tree again this year and set it up the day before Thanksgiving. We just finished adding ornaments to it. Just needs a hint more teal to it!

I can’t believe we are already on our 6th Challenge over at Inspire. Create. Challenge Blog. For the next 2 weeks you can participate in the challenge with the theme of Fancy Fold!

Click the image below to go to the blog to check out the other designer teams creations and to link your creation!

For my Fancy Fold I browsed Pinterest to find something I haven’t created before. I loved the Bridge Card I saw from Song of My Heart by Lyssa Griffin Zwolanek.

I used the Coffee Break suite to create this card. It was my first card using the suite! I wanted this suite from the very beginning but I waited some time before ordering it.

I do love Frappe but not plain coffee. I just love how this suite makes you feel warm and cozy!

A fun card to send to a friend that you know loves coffee! Here’s another angle of the card.

The card makes for a great mantle card! It stands up so nicely!

The best part of this card is that it measures to close up to fit in a regular envelope!

These cards are pretty easy to put together once you have the measurements. Check out Lyssa’s blog here, to get the measurements.

You can get these products over at Stampin’ Up! Store here, use my new Hostess Code for December to receive some Happy Mail as my thank you!

Don’t forget to join in on our challenge! You can link your blog, Pinterest pin, or even Split Coast Stampers!

Have a great Thursday!

2017 Holiday Catalog, Annual Catalog 2017-2018, Designer Series Paper, Embossing

Sheer Woodgrain

Back home from visiting my family and having my last Christmas card class in her area. I love having some stamping time with my friends! Today was my day to get some rest, catch up on some training and, chores! My man and I even put together October’s Paper Pumpkin for our Christmas cards this year!

I’ve been waiting for just the right moment to share this Christmas card that has a new technique I learned about at the beginning of the month. In our team Facebook group someone asked about Sheer Embossing. I didn’t know what it was so I did some research. There is not many projects showing it.

So what is Sheer Embossing? From what I got from it, it is heat embossing onto Designer Series Paper. I saw it done in a couple different colors. I wanted mine to really be sheer so I did mine in clear.
IMG_5061

I used Versamark and clear embossing powder to heat emboss the Woodgrain background stamp set onto the Merry Little Christmas designer series paper that has the little pine trees all over it.

I layered the designer series paper over a basic black piece then onto a Emerald Envy card base. I did add some basic black baker’s twine around the designer series paper layer before adhering it. I then stamped the Merry Christmas onto whisper white with Memento Black ink and punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch. the sentiment is from the Merry Little Labels stamp set. I did order the bundle to get the punch with it at 10% off!

IMG_5066

I really like the look of the Sheer Embossing since it adds a different element to the card that normally would not be there. The Woodgrain background stamp matched this designer series paper perfectly! Makes it feel a little more masculine even.

Tomorrow I have an eye appointment so going to head to bed earlier tonight than normal. I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend!

Have a great Friday!!
