Sweet Stampede Blog Hop #003: New Products

Welcome to another Sweet Stampede Blog Hop! We have a few less participants this month but the other ladies have great projects you’ll love! Our theme is new products. Our new annual catalog is coming out June 1st. We are all excited to be playing with some new products!

My card today uses some new, some returning and some carrying over products! I started off with a Thick Whisper White card base. Then I added a layer of this beautiful new designer series paper called Nature’s Poem! It is apart of a new suite called Nature’s Poem which has a beautiful bundle, embellishments and and twine!

I just love how this card looked against fresh green grass! It’s elegant and perfect for any type of wedding! But especially if you know their colors are mint and pink!

I cut it to 4″ by 5 1/4″. Then I added a layer of vellum on top cut at 3 3/4″ by 5″. Before I added these two layers to the card base I added this pretty Powder Pink shimmer ribbon around adhering it with Tear Tape then I adhered the Mint Macaron large oval to the vellum. This lets me know where I can add glue to the back of the vellum so I can attach it to the designer series paper. Once I have then I finish wrapping the ribbon around to the back of the designer series paper and adhere it all down to the card base.

Next I worked on the sentiment area. I stamped this wedding sentiment onto Whisper White with Mint Macaron (a returning color!) then VersaMark! This was a red rubber stamp so I did use a Misti to first stamp the Mint Macaron then the VersaMark. Now Stampin’ Up! has a stamping platform called a Stamparatus which I didn’t preorder but I have used my moms and I will honestly say I can’t wait to buy one! There’s more options with our hinged stamping platform!

Once I stamped the sentiment I added clear embossing powder then heat set. I then die cut it out with the second large oval from the Stitched Shaped dies. I added the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the Mint Macaron oval.

BlingTime!

I always add a little bling to my cads to finish them up. Time card I used some new Faceted Dots the are pretty cool! The pack has Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Grapefruit Grove and Mint Macaron. There’s 3 sizes of those 4 colors!

The new annual catalog is amazing! The color revamp was perfect timing for Stampin’ Up!’s 30th Anniversary! I believe this catalog has something for everyone!
