Do you have a friend that you just feel lucky to have connected with them? I have a stamping friend that is long distance that I am very thankful for! She is there when I need encouragement and when I need to vent.
I love Spring but for my friend Spring brings on tornado season which is a bit scary!! I created this card with her in mind as I wish she could just enjoy Spring with pretty flowers blooming and sun shining!
I used Rich Razzleberry for my card base. It’s one of the coordinating colors in this beautiful pack of designer series paper (DSP) called Share What You Love. It’s a bigger pack than normal too which is awesome! These flowers are just so pretty on this paper! I did cover it with some vellum but I love the look because it looks like its through a frosted window.
Vellum can be tricky to use because adhesives show through it. I only adhere my vellum down where I know I’m going to cover it up. So for this card I added my Berry Burst ribbon (I don’t have any Rich Razzleberry ribbon so this was next best hehe) with Tear Tape to the vellum. Then added my Mint Macaron large stitched square with Tombow glue to the vellum. This allowed me to add adhesive to the vellum behind the ribbon and square so you wouldn’t be able to see the adhesive show through. Next I layered the vellum to the designer series paper. I finished wrapping the ribbon around then adhered the DSP down to the card base.
Next I worked on my sentiment. I knew I wanted the Stitched layered squares to be off set. I stamped in the new Grapefruit Grove which I keep saying is a good replacement for Peekaboo Peach (even though its different, it does soften the sadness of it leaving). I stamped it on Whisper White then die cut it so I could have the angle I wanted. I layered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I went and cut the over hang of the squares off so it was flush with the card edge.
I waited to get the sentiment on before putting my bow on. I didn’t know exactly where I wanted it to go at first. Then I decided I liked it next to the Mint Macaron and not too close to the sentiment.
Last is the Bling! I added 3 of the new Artisan Pearls to the squares. I love these pearls! They coordinated great with the Share What You Love suite of products.
There’s two options of getting your hands on new products before they go live in June when the annual catalog goes live.
One way is the Share What You Love bundles: Only available as bundles during May! Once the catalog goes live the bundles will no longer be around which mean no extra freebies when buying these products together!
Second way is if you buy the Best Deal Ever! kit: Which is the starter kit. When you buy the starter kit you can purchase preorder items which is more than just the Share What You Love bundles. Including the 16 new inks!! PLUS free shipping, a 20% discount and more!! Have questions about this kit then use the contact button below to email me! Or if you know you want to join then check the Join Now tab at the top of the page!
Ok can you tell how excited I am about the new products? I know you have to wait a little longer but you better double check the Last Chance products from this annual before something leaves that you will regret not getting your hands on! I have already put in my order for some items I would have missed deeply!
The Berry Burst Finely Woven ribbon that I used on this project is leaving us! 😦 I love anything Berry Burst but this ribbon is so easy to use and lays pretty flat on cards. It’s still available while supplies last!
If you order use my monthly Hostess Code so I can send you a thank you gift. If your order is over $150 please don’t use the code, so you can get the Stampin’ Rewards. Hostess Code: DFDDQN2E I will still send you a thank you gift! If you would like a catalog, live in the US and, don’t already have a demonstrator please contact me and I will send you one!
Have a great Tuesday!
