Up for a Challenge?

Yesterday morning I was up for a challenge when I woke up so I got straight into creating! I knew I wanted to play along with Festive Friday’s Challenge which was Mother’s Day and/or Pink.

Check out what the design team and others have created by clicking the image below.

My card is both Mother’s Day and Pink. My mom does not like pink but she would still think my card is pretty.

I started off with a Blushing Bride card base. I then used this pretty designer series paper that is Berry Burst watercolor look from the Naturally Eclectic paper pack. Sadly this designer series paper is retiring. 😦

I stamped on some vellum with a stamp set thats carrying over and new to me… Touches of Texture. I just stamped it in our pigment ink then added clear embossing powder on top since our inks take some time to dry on vellum. I used Berry Burst and Powder Pink inks. After I hear embossed it I used Tear Tape in the middle of the vellum to attach the ribbon. Then I added Tear Tape to the back in the same place so I could attach it to the designer series paper. I then wrapped the ribbon around the paper so I could adhere the paper to the card base.

I then added a bow with glue dots to the top of the card. The ribbon I used is Berry Burst Finely Woven ribbon the is sadly on the last chance list right now. The ribbon is discounted now so I’m not sure how long it will last since it’s while supplies last.

I then added my sentiment which I wanted something simple but yet personal. I just choose to put I Love You which is actually from a brand new set coming out in the annual catalog in June. It’s called Detailed with Love. It’s a beautiful set. Check my supply list below to see a picture of it. I stamped it in Berry Burst and punched it out with the Classic Label punch then added a rhinestone. I added it to the card with glue dots.

  1. Beautiful, Britney! I LOVE how you stamped on the vellum! It adds a nice delicate touch to the card. The single rhinestone is a perfect touch. Thank you for sharing at Festive Fridays!
