Inspire. Create. Challenge #005

This week has started off with a bang! As a Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator we got to see the upcoming Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogs! Being able to see the catalog earlier than customer lets us be prepared to share some amazing projects and be able to learn the ends and outs of the products. I love seeing new catalogs! It always gets me excited about the upcoming months!

As of right now demonstrators can not preorder yet so we are trying to patiently wait. The worse part about a new catalog is we forget what we have in the amazing ones we have already!

Today’s card uses a beautiful stamp set and designer series paper from the Color Theory Suite in the Annual catalog. This is our 5th Challenge from Inspire. Create. Challenge! This is a Card Sketch challenge.

This card sketch is pretty basic but can be dressed up. I decided to keep my card more on the simple side. I wanted the colors and sentiment to really be the focus of the card.

I used a Berry Burst card base. The designer series paper is Color Theory. The Color Theory designer series paper has 8 different designs in 4 colors. I used the ombré pattern in Berry Burst and Crushed Curry. I simply cut the Berry Burst dsp to show more of the middle of the ombré instead of just the lighter or darker area. I also tucked in a strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper at the top edge of the dsp. I then tied a ribbon around and adhered down.

I stamped my sentiment from Colorful Seasons using Berry Burst then die cut it with the largest Stitched Shapes circle framelit. I then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to add some more volume to the card. Don’t forget the bling! I added 3 rhinestones for that!

As I lay in bed Monday night I know my tomorrow will be as happy as today! Tomorrow I will be stamping and creating with my friends! As I teach class I don’t only teach, I learn! I learn from those beginner stampers that have questions that I once asked. I may do some fancy cards at times but I also need to remind myself simple is great too!

I hope your Wednesday brings you sunshine and happiness! Use the card sketch and create a card to send to the person that’s been on your heart this week!Remember to come join us with this card sketch challenge and link your blog over at Inspire.Create.Challenge! We can’t wait to see what you create!

Have a great day!

Keep Stampin’
