2017 Holiday Catalog, Designer Series Paper

A Snowflake Winter!

Here in North Carolina it feels like the leaves changed over a day and now half of them are already off making it look like winter outside. It doesn’t feel like winter though temperature wise, thank goodness!! I love making cards with snowflakes but I don’t want any until later winter! Sadly this time of year I just want to hibernate and not do much. I am trying to get in some routines around the house to keep it clean and me moving. I enjoy watching LoveMeg on YouTube since she is close to my age and lives in NC. She does cleaning videos and for some reason they are pretty motivating. It’s like I’ll watch it then feel like going to clean. As the holidays creep in closer so does stress so hopefully I can keep getting some more routines going as well as start some new ones.

Another routine I need to concur is sending out Happy Mail to my friends, family and, customers! I love making cards but I am bad at sending them out. Anyone else like that? Well thankfully my Christmas cards are almost all done and I can start writing in them and addressing envelopes so I can get them in the mail the first week or so of December.

Erica's Christmas Card

My card today is kind of a copy cat of my upline’s design. This is her card using the Merry Little Christmas designer series paper. Erica Cerwin from Pink Buckaroo created three cards using the Labels to Love stamp set. That is also the set I used on today’s card. She did traditional Christmas colors and I did more Winter Wonderland Christmas.

I used the Year of Cheer Specialty designer series paper. It’s images are all foiled. They are beautiful prints! I used a 2″ x 5.5″ on my card. Then I used a small strip of the Foil Frenzy specialty designer series paper. This paper is a heavier weight kraft based paper with colored foil.

Like Erica’s card I used the foil snowflakes. They come in gold and silver plus the back is white so there are many color options. I did cut my snowflake down some since I didn’t want it over powering. The next layer up is a punched 2″ circle out of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.

I stamped the Merry Christmas label stamp from the Labels to Love set then punched it out with the coordinating punch called the Everyday Label punch. Added a couple rhinestone jewels to both sides if the sentiment. Amazingly there were no Stampin’ Dimensionals used on this card! :0 That’s usually not the case for me but glimmer paper doesn’t do well with them so I opted in for glue dots. Almost forgot about my Pool Party baker’s twine!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Winter Wonderland card today! I love using inspiration from my fellow demonstrators and card makers to create a beautiful card! If you don’t have the Labels to Love stamp set and punch yet then you should get it so you have time to create cute and easy Christmas cards this year!

During November if you use my Hostess Code then you will receive Happy Mail from me!  I am already creating some cute Happy Mail for those orders! If you need help placing your Stampin’ Up! order feel free to email me or message me on Facebook.
