A Country Thank You

This week on my blog and Facebook page I’m focusing on designer series paper that is apart of the Buy 3, Get 1 Free promotion. I love using Designer Series Paper on my projects! This is a great special to have some designer series paper on hand! I hope to do a One Sheet Wonder Class in August to share how to use your paper to the fullest!

Today’s project uses Wood Texture designer series paper 6×6 pack. This is a pocket that holds a small pack of Beef Jerky that I found at the Dollar Tree. I started with a piece of Mango Melody card stock since it was close to a color in the packaging.

The Mango Melody card stock is cut to 5 3/4″ by 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″. I folded it in half and used Tear Tape on the edge. I placed the Beer Jerky in before closing it down so I could keep the edges straight.

I then cut a piece of Basic Black to 5 1/2″ by 5 3/4″. This beautiful wood piece is cut to 5″ by 5 1/2″. I layered them all together with liquid glue.

Then I die cut this Stitched Shape square out of Mossy Meadow. I added it with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped this large tree onto some Very Vanilla with Mossy Meadow then die cut it with the coordinating die from the Rooted in Nature bundle.

I adhered the tree down with liquid glue. I then stamped the sentiment onto some Very Vanilla with Memento. I trimmed it close then added it to a piece of Basic Black with liquid glue then added it onto the tree with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I didn’t add any ribbon or bling to it since I wanted to keep it more on the masculine side! I love how it turned out! It’s a cute pocket gift I could give my dad since he always helps me out on big projects.
