Annual Catalog Sneak Peek & ICC Color Challenge #70

I am so excited to be writing this blog post! I am BACK!!! As some of you have noticed I have not been consistent on my blog in probably over a year. I went through some tough patches and just had no crafting mojo! The upcoming new Annual catalog coming out June 3rd has inspired me A LOT! I love so much of it!

My preorder was not huge but very deliberate in what I choose. I wanted to start off with trying out a new kit class to go along with my new In-Color Club. So I ordered the World of Good suite which is masculine and travel themed. Then I ordered all of the Designer Series Paper… well minus one but my mom got that one for us!

The one I am using on today’s card is a fun texture pack! It is called In Good Taste. It is a big pack of paper but oh so fun to use!

Today is the first time I’m sharing some sneak peeks of products from the new annual and using Inspire.Create.Challenge post to help me with some color guidelines! We have a color challenge going on and we hope you join us!

I started with a Rich Razzleberry card base. Thankfully I had some still, my card stock needs a restock order badly! I then used a new 3D embossing folder called Old World Paper (part of the World of Good suite). I ran it through for the front of my card. I realized later I probably only needed to run half of the front but I was undecided at the moment I did it!

Next I took a piece of this beautiful Night of navy and white Designer Series Paper and cut it to 2 1/2″ by 5 1/2″. Adhere it down with liquid glue AKA Tombow. I then die cut some scalloped frames from Whisper White and Coastal Cabana using the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

I stamped on the Coastal Cabana using the Healing Hugs stamp set. It is still one of my favorites and thankfully carrying over into the new Annual! I stamped the leaves in Pear Pizzazz, felt like it was a great color to add to this color combo. I used Night of Navy for the sentiment and on a scrap of Whisper White stamped the rose in Rich Razzleberry. I adhered the Coastal Cabana piece to the Whisper White then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the layers to the card base.

I fussy cut out the rose then added it using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The last few touches was some Wink of Stella on the rose (hard to see in the photo). Also some Fine Tip Glue pen for some create your own embellishments. Wish I didn’t put them on the rose and just only in the top right side of the frame. But all in all I LOVE how this card turned out! I am loving so many of the new products from the Annual!

I know this time is hard but please use your gift of creating handmade cards to bless those that are in need of a hug in the mail (which is about everyone!).
