Inspire.Create.Challenge #068 Sketch Challenge

How are you? Are you staying home or are you an essential worker during these crazy times? I am an “essential” worker; I am grocery shopper/deliverer through InstaCart (when I can get orders in lately) and also a fast food deliverer with GrubHub. I try to take this time to remind myself we are all going through this together, even if it is in very different ways. What I hope is you can use crafting (of any kind) to escape from the craziness! Let’s have some fun with this sketch! I may sit down again and make something else with it since what I made was using some Sale-A-Bration items that are no longer available. I just wanted to be able to sit down and create! I hope you do the same!

I started out with a Blackberry Bliss card base, which is still on my top 5 favorite colors! I then took some Blushing Bride and used the Subtles embossing folder. If the Subtles embossing folder is not apart of your go to folders, give it a try, add it to your shopping bag!

I then die cut out one of the Nesting Layering dies out of our awesome vellum. It is thicker than most vellums you can find. I love it since I don’t add a lot of adhesive to the back of it but it stays pretty straight!

I always hide the adhesive behind my other layers that I have above the vellum, even the pearls!

For the sentiment layer I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss onto Whisper White. The sentiment is from the awesome set called Peaceful Moments! It’s a great set to have! I then used another Nesting Layering die to cut this layer so it had the detailing like the vellum.

I fussy cut out the foiled flower from the Designer Series Paper that was available during Sale-A-Bration. I know this is a very hard time and making a sympathy card is not easy but is very appreciated in the end. It’s a hug from a far for family and friends.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals for the flower and liquid glue for the sentiment and vellum layer. I added a couple pearls at the end for a little extra something that felt like it was missing.

I know this time is hard but please use your gift of creating handmade cards to bless those that are in need of a hug in the mail (which is about everyone!).
