Do you ever feel like time flies by and you forget to do something? I feel like I have lost a whole week and missed out on some things like sending out the cards I created specifically for some people! 😦 I always wonder if some cards are still worth sending out even after the a week or more that you were planning to.
I think the answer is always Yes! People enjoy getting cards in the mail no matter what. They may not know that the card was suppose to be sent a week before hand haha Well unless it’s for a birthday or anniversary but I still think Happy Mail is worth sending even if it’s late!
So I say this because this is a card I made specifically for someone that went though a rough patch because of a storm hitting their house. I had ever intention of getting it in the mail within a few days of reading about it. I even had stamps ready! lol
I will still be sending it letting them know I am thinking about them! Life happens but don’t forget those that you want to send some Happy Mail to. It will brighten their day and maybe even week!
My best friend told me she didn’t care if my Happy Mail package was suppose to go out a week ago because she received it on the day she needed it most.
This card was fun to make! I started with a new color Grapefruit Grove as my card base. I picked this color because I wanted to use this beautiful designer series paper from the Share What You Love suite! It is an amazing pack of paper with pearlized foil on some of the flowers!
I cut the designer series paper to 4″ by 5 1/4″ for my first layer. Then I worked on my sentiment. I cut Whisper White card stock to 3″ by 4″. I then stamped the sentiment from Rooted in Nature in Grapefruit Grove.
I die cut it with a scalloped square from the layering square dies. These dies are brand new to me so I’m trying to learn how to incorporate them into my cards. I love using circles but I think squares are catching on hehe
I then wrapped the Whisper White with the Grapefruit Grove ribbon adhering with Tear Tape and tied a bow and added it with a glue dot. I then glued down the Whisper White piece that was die cut from down with liquid multipurpose glue aka Tombow! Then I layered the scallop square in with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Last I added some bling! I added 2 Faceted Dots in Grapefruit Grove to the bottom left side of the Whisper White layer.
