Floral Take Over

The flowers have taken over my blog! haha I’m so sorry if your someone that doesn’t like flowers very much! I think having spring on the brain makes it hard not to use flower prints. Plus I decided to join in on the Festive Friday again for their newest challenge!

Sadly Easter hasn’t been on my creative brain lately, mainly flowers haha So this challenge is perfect! The great thing is if for some reason you don’t like flowers you can always replace them for something else. All cards can be recreated! Sharing cards lets me share what I love doing as well as hopefully giving others some inspiration.

Todays card was actually a CASE from Stampin’ Up! They send their demonstrators a quarterly magazine with some awesome ideas! So I took a look back at an older one. I say older but it was only from Quarter 3 in 2017, so it’s really not very old. They shared about CASEing. CASE (kās) v. Copy And Share Everything

So they shared two cards and one was originally from the current annual. Check out annual 2017-2018 page 80 the Happy Birthday Card is the one I CASEd. I love the Stylized Birthday stamp set but I didn’t want to create a birthday card this time.

I starts with a Thick Whisper White card base. Then I used Petal Garden and Wood Texture 6×6 designer series paper. To be honest I used scraps for this card! I didn’t have any measurements I just had different size rectangles an played around with layering them to see which way I liked best. I do suggest that if you have any large prints then use them opposite of each other.

Once I layered them where I liked I adhered them down using liquid multipurpose glue aka Tombow, my favorite!

Next I wanted to use my new stamp set so I used a sentiment from the Petal Palette. I stamped it in Fresh Fig. I stamped it on Whisper White and die cut it with one of the ovals from the Stitched Shape framelits.

Using the coordinating dies from the Petal Palette I die cut 2 of the smaller flower and one of the larger one out of vellum. I then added the larger one to the back of the oval peeking out. I then added one of the smaller lowers on top of that. I used glue dots to do this. Put one of the small flowers on the opposite side peeking from the back as well. I added a rhinestone on top of the middle of the flower so the glue dot does not show through.

Last I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers on the designer series paper. It doesn’t over take the card with tons of glitter.
