Inspire.Create.Challenge #056

As this post goes live I will be getting a couple more hours (hopefully) before my mom and I take a drive to Lansing, MI for Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage Local, aka a mini convention.   I have to finish packing but that’s not easy when you have to prepare for even colder weather than what you are currently having!

My card today was inspired by the card sketch we have over on the Inspire.Create.Challenge blog! This is a great sketch to get your ideas flowing. I used two products from the limited time Christmastime is Here suite. I bought the Designer Series Paper and the Shimmer Gold ribbon.

I started off with a piece of Early Espresso card stock. Next I used the Christmastime is Here Designer Series Paper and cut it to 1 1/4″ by 3 3/4″, you’ll need three of them.

I fussy cut out one of the rose bundles in the Designer Series Paper. If you get the dies then it would cut this out for you. I added some of the Shimmer Gold Ribbon behind it with some tear tape and glue dots. Then added the roses with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love the foil detailing on the Designer Series Paper! I then stamped this Merry Christmas from “From Our Home to Yours” stamp set in Versamark ink then used gold embossing powder and heat set it. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and slide it into place.

Added two of the Holiday Rhinestones to the sentiment layer too.

I love how this card turned out! It makes me want to start working on my Christmas cards! I hope to get them out super early this year since many people don’t have my new address!
