Sweet Stampede Blog Hop: Flowers

Woot woot it’s another Sweet Stampede blog hop! This time around our theme is flowers. Perfect theme for Spring time!

Stampin’ Up! has released the last chance products that will not be carrying over into the new annual thats due out in June. On that list is the beautiful Designer Series Paper I’m using today called Petal Promenade.

I didn’t instantly fall in love with the Petal Promenade paper but it is just gorgeous! I love the realistic roses on this print! I started with a Thick Very Vanilla card base. The layers are cut at:

Flirty Flamingo: 4″ by 5 1/4″ and 3 1/8″ by 4 3/8″.

Petal Promenade: 3 7/8″ by 5 1/8″

Very Vanilla: 3″ by 4 1/4″

I stamped with VersaMark onto the piece of Very Vanilla using the bride and sentiment from the stamp set Wonderful Moments. I’m excited to say this set is carrying over! I used Silver embossing powder then my heal tool to turn it. Embossing is one technique I have always loved using! Any skill level can emboss and have a Wow factor on their project!

I used my Wink of Stella and my Champagne Mist ink to add some splatters to the card.

I adhered the largest Flirty Flamingo and the designer series paper together then to the card using liquid glue. I then added the Very Vanilla stamped layer and other Flirty Flamingo piece together with liquid glue then added it to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
