Annual 2018-2019, Designer Series Paper, Embossing, Inspire.Create.Challenges

Inspire.Create.Challenge #041

Welcome back to another Inspire.Create.Challenge challenge post! I have been slacking some on posts lately due to planning and getting ready for OnStage which was this past Saturday. It was a great time coming together with like minded stampers! I always love going to our events! We got to see the upcoming annual catalog that will be out June. I hope to share swaps that I received as well as some sneak peeks of products!

I will start sharing projects with the new items in mid-late May. I will say the new catalog is AMAZING!! If you want to get your hands on it before June then definitely become a demonstrator! We get to preorder in May.

Ok, ok let’s get to this challenge already, right?! Our #041 challenge is a card sketch. I love card sketches. Some I do exact and some I change up a lot! This one I kept it pretty close.

Today’s card starts with a Thick Very Vanilla card base scored at the top. I am using a *retiring Designer Series Paper Nature’s Poem. I will miss this paper. Thankfully the stamp set from the suite will be carrying over into the new catalog!

The stamp set I used is Rooted In Nature. It is an amazing nature set that seems to go more masculine depending on the colors used on your project.

I used the tall tree in the set to emboss both in the background and on the focal piece of the card. I used clear embossing powder on the background. I stamped the tree four times. I then stamped it once on the Tranquil Tide 1 3/4″ by 4 3/4″ piece then used gold embossing powder.

Tranquil Tide is another item retiring which is apart of the 2017-2019 In-Colors. I also embossed the sentiment Be Strong, Be Happy, Be You in gold as well.

I cut the Designer Series Paper to 2 3/4″ by 4 1/4″. Then added it to the card with liquid glue. Then added the Tranquil Tide strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Thank you for checking out my project! I hope you like what I did with the embossing. Check out what the other ladies on the Design Team created by clicking the image below.

*P.S. When something retires there is no reason you can’t continue to use it. It just will not be available to purchase again. Demonstrators use new product once available so that they can show you ways to use it and so you can purchase it still. If we used retired products and you wanted it then that doesn’t seem fair.

The retired list is available over on the Stampin’ Up! website so click the Shop Now button below to go over to the site.

If you enjoy my projects please follow my blog, leave a like or comment and even shop using my hostess code! No matter your contribution your support is appreciated!!
