Inspire.Create.Challenge #024

Welcome to another Inspire.Create.Challenge post! We are on #024 and this time it’s a theme… floral! There are soooo many floral stamps in the Stampin’ Up! Annual let alone some Designer Series Paper and embossing folders! So skies the limit with this challenge!  Let alone any other floral inspiration!

Today’s card is an easel card using Melon Mambo as our card base. You need a regular card base at 11″ by 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″ and add an extra score mark at 2 3/4″. Then you will also need another piece at 4 1/4″ by 5 1/2″ for the front of the easel. I ran mine through the Big Shot using the Ruffled Dynamic Texture Impressions Embossing Folder. Then I adhered it to the bottom part of the card base just up until the added score line.

Then it was time to decorate the front of my card. I knew I wanted to use the new Color Your Season’s Blended Seasons bundle. I stamped the flowers onto a piece of Whisper White with Tranquil Tide. Next I die cut it with the large label from the Stitched Seasons which is available as the bundle or separate. I added it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next was time for some fussy cutting… well first I had to stamp. So I stamped the flowers onto a piece of Melon Mambo Designer Series Paper from the Brights pack with Melon Mambo ink. I also stamped the flowers on a piece of Tranquil Tide from the In-Color 2017-2019 designer series pack with Tranquil Tide.

 

 

Then it was time to fussy cut them! So I only cut out the flowers from the Melon Mambo piece and the leaves from the Tranquil Tide piece. I adhered the leaves to the Whisper White label with some liquid glue. I did add a Stampin’ Dimensional to the leaves when they hang over the edge of the label. The flowers were just added with Stampin’ Dimensionals, or double when over the edge.

For the sentiment I stamped the Thank You from the Blended Seasons with Melon Mambo. I die cut it with the fancy label that is from the Stitched Labels framelits. I modified it though. It would have cut the end of You off so I decided to extend the straight edges. This takes only laying the top plate up to the spot you want the framelit to cut. Then move over the die and line it back up with thats there and run it through again but only with the top plate where you want to cut. I added some of the new beautiful Rose Metallic Thread to the back and added it to the card with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside of the card I added a layer of Whisper White at 4″ by 5 1/4″. I rounded the corners before adhering it down with liquid glue. I also forgot to mention above I rounded the corners on the other corners too. It gives it a softer feel to this card. I used the new Detailed Trio punch. It is a great punch to have on hand!

Then since it’s an easel card I needed something on the inside of the card that it could rest on to stay standing. I decided to do another sentiment from Blended Seasons. This time I stamped it in Tranquil Tide. I attached with some Stampin’ Dimensionals as well.

For last touches I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers and leaves! Some Share What You Love Artisan Pearls in the Petal Pink color.
