Welcome to another Sweet Stampede blog hop! Our theme this month is using the new Stampin’ Up! colors. Stampin’ Up! added 16 new colors to our four color families. I love that we have new colors! It makes everything feel fresh!
Here’s a chart of our four color families.
The card I’m sharing today uses the new beautiful colors Highland Heather and Petal Pink. The card base is Highland Heather is 4 1/4″ by 11″.
Then I layered a piece of Petal Pink at 3 3/8″ by 5 1/2″.
Next layer is a piece of Wood Texture designer series paper cut to 3″ by 5 1/2″. I stamped the flower bundle from the Very Vintage hostess stamp set in Basic Gray.
I adhered all the layers together with liquid multipurpose glue aka Tombow.
Next I tied this new Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon around the front of the card and ended with a big bow.
I die cut some Dazzling Diamond glimmer paper with the large Stitched Shape framelit. Then I used the next smaller oval and die cut it from Whisper White. I stamped it using two sentiments. Let’s Celebrate is from Detailed with Love and the Happy Birthday is from Very Vintage. I stamped with Versamark then embossed the sentiments with silver embossing powder and heat set.
I attached the sentiment layer with glue dots to the glimmer paper. Glue dots are really the only good adhesive to adhere to glimmer paper. I then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment layers to the card.
Lastly I love adding some bling to my cards. This time I used these beautiful Share What You Love Artisan Pearls. They match so perfectly with the Petal Pink.
