One of my most visited post is Calypso Coral Overload. Which always shocks me but I know sometimes it’s a hard color to work with. I had fun creating another card with the focus of Calypso Coral again!
Starting with a Calypso Coral card base I embossed it with the fun and beautiful Seabed 3D embossing folder. This folder has such beaut imagery and it just feels elegant!
I worked on the seahorse from Sea Notions stamp set next. I had some Whisper White paper and took my Calypso Coral ink and squeezed it slightly to get some ink on the inside of the lid. I then used my Wink of Stella to grab some of the ink and just make some watercolor looking lines. I kept them close together so not much white showed through.
I let this dry before I stamped the seahorse with Memento black over top of my quick “watercolor”. Then I fussy cut it out.
I die cut (from Tasteful Label die set) out the sentiment later from some Whisper White card stock then stamped the sentiment and coral onto it of course using more Calypso Coral ink. The sentiment is from Seaside Notions and the coral reef is from Whale of a Time stamp set.
I also die cut the same label out of some Vellum card stock. I cut it in half and added it to the back of the sentiment layer. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the sentiment layer before adding the vellum then used some liquid glue on the vellum. I then added it to the card base.
Last but not least I added some sequins. These sequins are actually from the Woven Thread sequins that carried over. They are such pretty sequins! Not it isn’t actually Calypso Coral but it is Terra-cotta Tile which is super close!
