Inspire.Create.Challenge #042

Hello Everyone! It’s May! Springtime is upon us and so is a new paper crating challenge from Inspire.Create.Challenge blog! Our theme is Baby, which is perfect because during Spring we see new baby birds, rabbits, chicks and more!

My card today starts off with a Thick Very Vanilla card base. I then used a piece of the Needle and Nook Designer Series Paper cut to 4″ by 5 1/4″ or the background layer. I adhered this down with liquid glue.

Next I cut a piece of Highland Heather and Very Vanilla. The Highland Heather is 3 1/4″ by 4 1/4″. The Very Vanilla piece is cut to 3″ by 4″. I stamped the Very Vanilla piece with the beautiful pregnant woman from Wonderful Moments in Gorgeous Grape. Next I created a mask with a post it note.

I adhered the Very Vanilla stamped layer to the Highland Heather with liquid glue. Then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.

For the sentiment which is also from the Wonderful Moments, a photopolymer set. I stamped it in Highland Heather onto a small piece of Very Vanilla scrap. Use up them scraps! I then rounded the edges with the corner rounder on the envelope punch board (which is retiring). I didn’t have my detailed trio punch close by.

To create a mask I stamped the image onto the post it note then fussy cut it out. I then layered it over the stamped image on my Very Vanilla piece. Next I used the DistINKtive rose from Healing Hugs. I stamped it in a brand new upcoming In-Color 2019-2021… Purple Posy!! It fits so beautifully with these other two of our purples!

Since the ink was brand new the DistINKtive stamp had a little issue so I used my bone folder to carefully move some of the ink over on the pad and tried again. Still juicy but looks ok to me. It will get better with time! Now that I stamped the rose I removed the mask.

I adhered the Very Vanilla stamped layer to the Highland Heather with liquid glue. Then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.

Last I thought I would bling it up a little bit. So I used Wink of Stella on the hair. I used a brand new upcoming ribbon from the Annual called Very Vanilla Scalloped. It is soft and so pretty! Was easy to used to tie a bow as well!
