Inspire.Create.Challenge #025

Inspire.Create.Challenge blog has our #025 challenge! The Design Team all created amazing projects using the color combo Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Lemon Lime Twist.  Click the image below to go to the blog to see what the others created!

My card today was a fun one to make but a bit different! I worried that it was too busy with so many patterns going on, but in the end I loved it!

I started with a Thick Whisper White card base. I used my Product of the Week the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper as extra inspiration. I wanted a strip that had some of the colors form the color combo in it. I found this one with the small pattern of animals has the Lemon Lime Twist and Melon Mambo. The Bermuda Bay was not in the paper but there is a hint of a lighter blue in the water by the hippo.

I pulled out my Color Family Designer Series Papers (the Brights and In-Color 2017-2019) and pulled out the colors I needed to use. I ended up using two with the bigger polka dots and then the one with the tiny dots.

Each piece was cut at 1″ by 5 1/4″. I layered them onto a piece of Whisper White card front size so I could make sure they were straight. I then added it to the card base with liquid glue.

This top area was a bit tricky since I didn’t know how I wanted it to look. I die cut the rhino from some of the designer series paper. It was one that I cut into already so the back side of the rhino was already gone ha ha I liked how it looked though.

I took a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock and die cut this background vine from the Animal Friends Thinlits into it. Parts of it cut all the way out and then there are pieces that stay to add some dimension. I then die cut it using my Layering Square framelits. I used the same square framelit to cut a Lemon Lime Twist square that I could layer behind it to let the color peek through.

I adhered the Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist squares together with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then die cut a slightly larger square and adhered it with liquid glue to the back of the Lemon Lime Twist square.

Before adhering it down to the card front I added a zig zag of the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon to the back with some Tear Tape. Then I added the layers of squares with yet another set of Stampin’ Dimensionals. This card could not make it through there regular mail hehe It would have to be hand sorted!

I had to figure out what sentiment I wanted and thought this Best Wishes was so pretty! We all need to have that bright and cheery Happy Mail at times! The sentiment is from the Stitched All Around stamp set. I stamped it in Melon Mambo onto some Whisper White. I use cut it into a strip. I added it to the card using a double layer of Stampin’ Dimensionals and some liquid glue.

Next I layered the rhino on top with some Stampin’ Dimensionals! Yep more of them! Can you tell I love dimension?

My last touch was this fun Glitter Enamel Dot in Melon Mambo up in the left corner of the card.
