2019-2020 Annual Catalog, Challenges, Color Combo, Inspire.Create.Challenges

Inspire.Create.Challenge #043

Hey hey hey! You may have noticed I have not been on as much lately. Sadly at the end of April we were told to find a new place to live due to the landlord wanting to fix up and sell our place. This brought on a lot of stress, packing and looking for places. I will be back on regular scheduling for June. Which will be in perfect timing for our new Annual catalog launch!! There is a sneak peek at a new stamp set included in today’s project!

Today’s project was created for our Inspire.Create.Challenge which was a color combo. Now this color combo is not one I would gravitate to. But I feel like it was a fun stretch out of my comfort zone. The color combo is Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie and Poppy Parade.

I decided to create a gift tag and gift to go along with it since I had a craft show I was going to be vending at. So I took a small clay pot and added in a packet of Hummingbird wildflower seed mix, a Chamomile tea, a garden pick and some butterscotch candies.

I then wrapped it up in a cellophane bag and tied it with some of our new ribbon coming out in June. It’s the Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim. It is beautiful ribbon! It’s soft and easy to create bows with.

For the gift tag I stamped a new Hostess set called Believe You Can. Just the name of the set makes it awesome! We all need that little reminder sometimes! It is a fun set that has this flowery tag then has three sentiments that can be exchanged out for the inside. Thank you is what I chose but there is also Welcome and Good Luck.

I stamped the flowery frame in Poppy Parade. Then the Thank You in Pumpkin Pie. I then took my AquaPainter and some ink from each and colored in some of the flowers and leaves. Added some Wink of Stella to just a couple of the flowers as well. I then punched a hole in it. Tied it on with the ribbon.

For the little garden pick I had a plastic pick and traced the top part onto some Whisper White. Then I stamped it in the three colors. I think these flowers are perfect in these colors! I hen just used tear tape to adhere it to the pick.
