As we go into the weekend let’s check our calendars to see whose birthday is coming up. Make them a card! Buy a handmade card! Send that happy mail on it’s way! Today’s card was fun to make!
A beautiful texture filled birthday card! I started with a Flirty Flamingo card base. All the texture papers used at from In Good Taste Designer Series Paper pack. I layered a piece of the wood pattern first that measured 4″ by 5 1/4″.
Then I took two strips of some other patterns: the hexagon tile and the pink fabric and made them into banners. I adhered those together and decided I needed something behind them for a little change from the wood being it. I had a scrap of the gold foil already die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly so I stapled the banners to it and then adhered these layers to the card.
For the stamped layer I used the Happy Birthday from Peaceful Moments stamped in Gray Granite. I then die cut it with this cutie of a die from the Stitched So Sweetly die set. I added it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a pink rhinestone from the retired rhinestone pack. We do have some beautiful new embellishments that would work perfectly. Just none on preorder when I was creating this card.
