Welcome back to another challenge from the Inspire, Create, Challenge blog! We are on #035! Sadly my #034 was not live when the others were because I was in the hospital. I am doing way better! I had to have my gallbladder removed. I am healing well! I hope you go back and check out my card from two weeks ago! I will link it at the end of this post. Thank you for those that commented with keeping me in their thoughts!
On to this challenge… a card sketch! I love cad sketches! It gives you some main elements to use and then you get to let it inspire you in so many directions! I ended up mirroring the card sketch since my floral element curved the opposite way.
I started this card with a Shaded Spruce card base. I then layered a piece of 4″ by 5 1/4″ Whisper White. Then a layer of 3 3/4″ by 5″ Blackberry Bliss ran through the Big Shot with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder! I adhered the layers down with liquid glue.
Next I stamped the large floral bundle twice onto some Whisper White in Shaded Spruce. I die cut one with the large circle from the Stitched Shapes die set. The other one I fussy cut and even eliminated some of the elements since some were harder to fussy cut. Now this would not need to happen if I had the dies that coordinate haha BUT I do not have them…. yet!
I adhered down the large stitched circle with liquid glue. Before doing so I had to find the position I wanted it on the card… that took longer than fussy cutting the floral bundle lol
I then stamped the sentiment from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set in Blackberry Bliss onto some Whisper White scrap that I always have hanging around from cutting the 4″ by 5 1/2″ layers. I cut a piece of Sparkle glimmer paper the same size then played around with placement some more. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals on the floral bundle, the sentiment and the Sparkle glimmer paper.
I decided I wanted a little more texture to my card so I used the fine tip glue pen and added some to the small leaves and the flowers. I LOVE adding it to cards! I think it really adds an extra element!
Most of my cards I keep blank on the inside but I had someone in mind for this card! I know her season of struggle will come and she will need to be uplifted and this stamp set has beautiful sentiments for that!! I can’t wait to use the set more! So the inside of this card uses another sentiment from the Strong & Beautiful set and the floral bundle I used on the outside.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my card and give this card sketch challenge a try! I think it is a very basic sketch that can have so many possibilities! I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!!
