Annual 2018-2019, Designer Series Paper, Occasions CATALOG 2019, Sale-A-Bration 2019

A Flowering Love

I have been absent from my blog ever since being sick and finding out I needed to have my gallbladder removed. It is a little over a week since having surgery and I am healing up pretty well! I can’t lie, sitting here at my desk to work on my blog and Facebook posts seems to bother a part of my abdomen a little. I’m giving another chair a try. I miss sharing my cards and projects with you though!

This weeks Product of the Week is the Wonderful Romance stamp set. It is a stamp that has dies and apart a suite but I received it as my prize patrol at OnStage in November and at first I didn’t care for it. I have now fallen in love with it. I do not have any other product from the suite, including the dies. I can’t wait to order the rest of the suite but I do love using stamp sets with other products to make them go further!

Today’s card starts off with a Merry Merlot card base. I then knew I wanted to use the sentiment to create a card that could be used for Valentine’s Day so I grabbed this beautiful floral patterned from the All My Love Designer Series Paper pack. I cut the piece to 2″ by 5 1/2″.  I then used a piece of Whisper White card stock to cut this edged detailing using an edgelit die from the Be Mine Stitched dies. I cut it to 5 1/2″ to make sure I could adhere it behind the designer series paper then to the card base using liquid glue.

Next I die cut this heart from the Be Mine Stitched dies set out of the Sparkle Glimmer paper. I added this to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then stamped the sentiment from the Wonderful Romance stamp set using Balmy Blue ink which could be found in the designer series paper pattern I used. Then I punched it out with the 2″ circle punch. I adhered it with glue dots (onto the heart area) and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Last I wanted this cad to be a statement so I used this Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon. Instead of attempting to tie an actual bow, because it is not easy because of the polka dots. I gathered it to look like a bow and added a couple glue dots to keep it together and add to the card. Then I added a rhinestone in the middle of the bow for some added bling!
