2018 Holiday Catalog

A Snowy Blizzard

I’m back! I took a week off from blogging so I could get back into the routine after OnStage and before Thanksgiving. I needed some mental days! I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! I am so excited that it’s almost December! November has flown by but I just can’t wait until Christmas!

I can’t wait to put up my tree! We will probably go pick one out next weekend and enjoy decorating it while listening to some old vinyls! Do you put up a real tree or an artificial one? Ours has been a real one for 5 years now! I love the smell of real trees!

This week I want to share a beautiful set that one of my customers helped me fall in love with! The Beautiful Blizzard bundle. She asked if I would create a private class around this set. I was hesitant at first because I didn’t know if I could come up with ideas when I wasn’t in love with the set. That quickly changed once I got it in my hand to create the projects for her class. I’ll be sharing 3 of the cards this week. I have one 3D project to share with you next week using it!

Today’s card is a fun one that uses a lot of the stamps! I used the background, the swirl and the snowflakes to create the blizzard background.

I started with a Thick Whisper White card base. I then cut a piece of Whisper White to 4″ by 5 1/4″ to stamp the background blizzard on. I used Gray Granite for the background stamp, stamping off once. Then I used Mint Macaron with the snowflakes. I used Gray Granite with the swirl.

I then stamped the sentiment onto some more Whisper White card stock with Mint Macaron. I die cut it using the now retired Seasonal Label framelit dies. These were a limited time purchase. You could use many other of out framelits for this. I then added the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I wanted to use the die that came in the bundle so I die cut the snowflakes out with the Sparkle Glimmer paper. This took a couple times through the Big Shot but they came out great! I added a medium size one to the bottle right corner of the label with a glue dot.

Since the glue dot shows through from the middle of the snowflake I added this pretty bow using the Silver & Pool Party Baker’s Twine. I then added a couple rhinestones throughout the blizzard to bling it up some more!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed today’s card! This would be a great card throughout anytime in Winter! Add Beautiful Blizzard bundle to your shopping bag today for a 10% savings! Don’t have a Big Shot but love the stamp set? Then just add the stamp set to your shopping bag, but don’t forget some of the Silver & Pool Party Baker’s Twine!
