Buffalo Plaid Gift Card

Are you excited to welcome November in? I am, since I’m excited to go to Stampin’ Up!® OnStage! Plus we get to start creating more Christmas goodies!! Today’s project is a gift card holder. I didn’t come up with basic measurements, I found them from a few other stampers I looked at.

I took a piece of Real Red card stock cut to 10″ by 4 1/4″. Which is great since you can get two out of one sheet of card sock. Score it at 3″, 4″, 5″, 8″. If you are creating two then score it first then cut into two. It let’s you not have to score two separate projects.

I used the Buffalo Check stamp set and the Stamparatus. Using VersaMark ink to stamp the top area of the gift card holder. I used clear embossing powder than heat set it with the heat tool. I then rounded the corners of just that edge.

To create the area the card sits into you need to adhere the small areas together on the sides and a little on the bottom. Then punch twice with the classic label punch to create the slot.

Add a gift card inside then time to decorate! I tied a piece of the Shaded Spruce from the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack then ended it with a bow.

I then stamped Merry Christmas from Warm Hearted hostess stamp set onto Whisper White with Shaded Spruce. I die cut it with the large oval from the Stitched Shape Framelit dies. I adhere it to the flap with a Stampin’ Dimensional on either side of the ribbon.

Last I added these beautiful Red Rhinestones! This is a simple but cute way to dress up a gift card during the holidays! These Red Rhinestones are my thank you gift this month, read on for more details!
