2018 Holiday Catalog, Annual 2018-2019, Designer Series Paper

Flowering Bundle

Hey Hey! It’s Thursday! Meets we are close to another weekend, which I don’t know about you but I could use one about now! I would love for the Autumn weather to get here so I could go on a cool hiking crunching leaves under my feet!

Until then I will enjoy creating with my First Frost set. I don’t want Winter knocking on more door before I’m ready! ha ha

Today’s card uses the First Frost bundle, especially the coordinating dies. I started with a Thick Very Vanilla card base cut at 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/2″.

Handmade Congratulations Card using Stampin' Up!® Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper and the beautiful First Frost bundle.

I then layered on this beautiful pink marble looking paper from the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper pack. I cut it as a card front at 4″ by 51/4″. I didn’t think I would love this pack of paper as much as I do! The patterns are amazing!

Next I stamped a bunch of flowers and other elements from the First Frost set. I stamped the big flower in Merry Merlot and the small flowers in Petal Pink. For the thistle looking ones I used Tranquil Tide and Soft Sea Foam. I inked up half the image in Soft Sea Foam first then the Tranquil Tide. I then used my finger to just tab between the two colors to blend them a little. I really like how those turned out!

I then die cut all of those pieces out. I also took some Vellum and die cut some of the long leaves and berry looking sprigs.

I stamped congratulations in Merry Merlot onto some Very Vanilla card stock. I then die cut it with the oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. These dies are my go to! I added the sentiment to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next it was time to play with how I wanted this bundle of flowers and other elements to be arranged. I used glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add some well dimension. I decided adding this pretty Rose Metallic Thread behind the bundle would bring in a little bling and make the bundle pop! I wrapped the thread around 4 fingers four times then cut it. I added it to the card on top of some Stampin’ Dimensionals that I laid the flower bundle onto.

Last but not least I added these pretty Share What You Love Artisan Pearls in the Petal Pink. It was the perfect compliment to the colors from the Designer Series Paper behind it.
