2018 Holiday Catalog, Annual 2018-2019, Designer Series Paper

Inspire.Create.Challenge #027

My birthday was this past Sunday. I live in North Carolina in the US so we have a storm approaching as I write this. It may put a damper on my birthday but best believe I will be getting my Publix (local grocery store) cake as soon as possible!

The next best thing is to see all of the design team and your creations for this challenge’s theme: Celebration! Join us in creating some cards, gift packing and more in the next two weeks! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Until then I can’t wait to share my cute gift packing idea with you! I took a break from just cards to play with making some 3D items! This time I used a Bath & Body Works Hand & Body Cream as my inspiration.

I took inspiration from someone that created a box for hand sanitizers. I wanted to just use one sheet so I created it just an open packaging for the lotion.

The main piece is a 2″ by 11″ Tranquil Tide card stock. I scored at 1/2″, 1 3/4″, 3 1/4, 4 1/2″.

Using the Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper I cut it at 1 3/4″ by 5″ for the back and the bottom is cut at 1 3/4″ by 1 1/4″. I adhered them using liquid glue.

Before you adhere the box together you will need to punch or in my case die cut an oval into the next rectangle to the smallest rectangle. I used the smaller Stitched Shape oval die. Then I used tear tape on the small rectangle and wrapped it inward to the back. You can see this a little better on my last picture.

Once you get to this point all you need to do is slide your hand lotion from the bottom into your oval. I learned that the hard way ha ha So mine is a little wonky!

Next I wanted to keep the sentiment cute but simple. I stamped this Let’s Celebrate from the Detailed with Love stamp set in Blackberry Bliss onto Whisper White. I punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch. I added it to the top of the gift packaging with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next I tied a bow using the Silver Metallic Edge ribbon and added it with a glue dot.

I added two rhinestones to the bottom left of the box. I totally forgot to use some of the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets.

I hope you use the theme to create and share what you make! We would love to see! Click the image below to go check out the Inspire.Create.Challenge blog to see what the other Design Team members are creating as well as other crafters!
