Annual 2018-2019

Touch of Gold

I am so excited! I’m going to Stampin’ Up!® OnStage “convention” in November in Orlando!! I registered yesterday! I want to give a huge shout out to my customers, especially last month for helping me reach my goal! It helped me get to OnStage with less worry!

I can’t wait to meet fellow team members that sprinkle the US! We will have so much fun seeing the Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Brtion brochure all while celebrating Stampin’ Up!® 30th Anniversary!!

I’m also getting excited about the holiday catalog coming out in September! But for now I’m using products from the annual catalog to get a head start on some Christmas card inspiration!

Today’s card starts with a Thick Whisper White card base. The card front is a layer of Shaded Spruce, a deep green that is just perfect for our Christmas cards and more!

Before I adhered it to the card base I used the Product of the Week: Stitched Label Framelit Dies in a few ways! I used the straight stitched die on the sides to create a border. The long side will take you lining the die back up and running the die through again.

I took another die that is just a bunch of what I want to call quilt stitching and I used it twice behind where my door and red stitched label will be. Now I adhered it to the card base with liquid glue.

Next I ran a piece of Real Red card stock through the Big Shot with the stitched label within this set. I absolutely love this die! I did cut it in half so I could use the other half on another card. I waited to stick it down until I knew more about where my door was going.

For the door I stamped the barn door and door knob from the well Barn Door stamp set with Sahara Sand onto this lighter piece of Wood Texture Designer Series Paper. Then I stamped the Christmas greeting from Labels to Love in Shaded Spruce. I then die cut it out with the coordinating framelit dies, but it is an easy one to “fussy cut” too!

I added Stampin’ Dimenionals behind the door then attached my Real Red Stitched Label to it and added some liquid glue just to the label. I then added it to the card.

I felt like the card was still missing something so I grabbed this gold paper from Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper pack and die cut it with this little stitched label. I adhered it down with liquid glue and lined it up to the stitching in the Shaded Spruce card front. I then added a double strand bow using Whisper White Baker’s Twine with a glue dot.

Last but never least, I added some bling! A card is never finished without a hint of bling! This time around I used the Gold Metallic Pearls.

Below are the supplies I used to create this card. You could substitute the Broadway Bound paper for some Gold foil. I didn’t have any on hand plus the hint of white in it looked good.
