A Birthday Note

This weeks blog’s will all have one element in common… using embossing folders. The new annual catalog has some beautiful embossing folders.

I started with a Fresh Fig card base. Then I used this beautiful new embossing folder called ruffled.

I used a piece of Whisper White card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with this Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I adhered it down to the card base with liquid glue.

Next I stamped the typewriter and sentiment in Fresh Fig onto Whisper White. The stamps are from P.S. You’re the Best. I fussy cut the typewriter out. I used my bone folder to just add a little curve to the paper area of the stamped image. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back. I added double dimensionals to the top paper area so it would stick up just a little more than the bottom of the typewriter.

Of course before I stuck the typewriter down I had to decide what I wanted behind it. So I took some scraps I had sitting around from these In-Color 2017-2019 designer series paper stack, layered and, adhered them together. Next I adhered them to the card.

I had a little bit of this 1/8″ Sheer Fresh Fig ribbon around and thought it would be perfect for this card. I like that it is 1/8″. I used glue dots to criss cross the ribbon then attached it to the card. Place the typewriter down then it was time for some bling! I added some of the Berry Burst Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.
