Inspire.Create.Challenge #021

Welcome to another Inspire.Create.Challenge stamping challenge! Our challenges are bi-monthly. So come create along and use our challenges to help inspire your crafting!

This weeks challenge is a theme and this time it is Kids.

This was a little harder of a challenge for me since I am not around kids much.

I decided to play with bright colors to inspire me. I also used a new stamp set my mom received at OnStage called Around the Corner.

Let’s start with the more masculine card. I think this card would be perfect for a little boy. I used the new Blueberry Bushel for the card base. Then I used the new designer series paper in the new In-Colors on both of these cards. I used the Call Me Cover on this card.

I took a 3″ by 4″ piece of Whisper White and stamped the sentiment in Call Me Clover. I did use the Stamparatus to make it easier to stamp and have in the same place in both corners.

I thought it was playful to layer the paper in a diagonal form compared to just layering like normal. I just adhered them with liquid glue.

For the number layer area I started with punching a Starburst from vellum. I decided I wanted some ribbon to added some texture so I used this Whisper White Classic Weave ribbon. I added some tear tape to the back of the vellum and placed the ribbon on.

Next I punched a 1 3/8″ scalloped circle out of Blueberry Bushel. I added it to the vellum with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The numbers I fussy cut from the Broadway Bound designer series paper. It is gold foiled which is fun! I used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the numbers to the scalloped circle.

The Broadway Bound designer series paper is a specialty paper because half of the designs have gold foiling. The number paper has 0-9 so you can use it to customize cards to the age you wish.

Next is the more girly birthday card. I started with a piece of Melon Mambo card stock. Then I used the new Pineapple Punch designer series paper. I then layered on the sentiment layer like I did with the card above just used Pineapple Punch as my ink.

I did the same with the number as the card above beside I put the ribbon on the opposite side. Lastly on this card I added some bling in form of the new beautiful Glitter Enamel Dots!! A must have!!

In fact I love these Glitter Enamel Dots so much I am giving some away for any order in July! I know I know it’s not July just yet but as long as you use the hostess code below and have a minimum order of $40 I will send you a pack! The are just gorgeous! The colors are Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist and Coastal Cabana (my fave)!!

Here’s the list of supplies I used to create the two cards. There are many of versions you could make with the other sheets in the designer series paper packs I used.
