Annual 2018-2019, Embossing

Fabulous Flower

Today is the last day of May. It’s been a very rainy week here in North Carolina. I am ready for June! Not only because of the new amazing annual catalog but also because it’s summer time! Minus the mosquitos which were attacking me while taking pictures of this card. šŸ˜¦

My card today was taught to me by my downline Jessica. She has been having fun with the Black Ice technique. I didn’t try it until she shared it this past weekend.

We started off with a piece of Champagne foil sheet cut to 4″ by 5 1/4″. We embossed it with the new flower embossing folder called Lovely Floral. It is apart of the Share What You Love suite. The suite was created in honor of Stampin’ Up!’s 30th Anniversary! A 30th anniversary has pearls as the gift so much of the suite has pearlized items that are beautiful!IMG_8603 2

Once we embossed it we used the Basic Black archival ink to slide across the foil. I did it from all sides. Then heat set so I could then take VersaMark ink across the foil. I went a little over kill on the VersaMark to wear it ended up not being very black ice look but I still love how it turned out. I added clear embossing powder and heat set.

I attached the foil to a layer of Very Vanilla cut at 4 1/8″ by 5 1/8″. I then adhered the layers to Blackberry Bliss card case. I used liquid multipurpose glue which I call Tombow which is the brand it is.

Then I worked on the sentiment. I cut a piece of Very Vanilla at 4 1/4″ then stamped my sentiment which is from a new stamp called Itty Bitty. This stamp set is a great small sentiment set that is a lot like Teeny Tiny Wishes which is retiring. I stamped it in Blackberry Bliss. I then cut it down to just be a little area above and below the sentiment. Then I cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss a little wider than the sentiment strip. I believe the Blackberry Bliss strip was 1″, I don’t have my trimmer close by to double check, sorry.

I attached the sentiment strips with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then added two basic rhinestones to the right side. I also added a Very Vanilla layer inside. I love how this card turned out and I think it was a lot of fun to make. I hope you give it a try!

Here’s the supplies I used to create this card. You can interchange the foil you use. I really liked the champagne but I think copper would be fun to use too!
