Annual Catalog 2017-2018, Designer Series Paper, Occasions 2018

Little Treat

April is flying by! I figured it would since I have so much going on. I hope everyone is enjoying their April so far! I am so glad to see the green coming back on our trees!! It has been a long drawn to winter around here! One of my favorite parts about Spring is seeing butterflies! They are so beautiful and unique!

I found these cute butterfly gummies at my local grocery store and I had to come up with a fun way to gift them! I had this mini glass jar for a while but I believe I got it from Michael’s. I added my butterfly gummies to the jar then decided what colors I wanted to work with for my topper. At first I thought about doing just a tag to hang from the jar. Then I decided I didn’t like that idea and made this topper.

I started off punching a 1″ circle out of a piece of Petal Garden designer series paper. This one was a lighter Sweet Sugarplum with polka dots. Then I punched a 1 3/8″ scallop circle out of another piece from the Petal Garden that was all Sweet Sugarplum but had a swirly design.

Next I stamped this cute sentiment from A Good Day stamp set and punched it out with the 1 1/8″ scallop circle punch. I layer all the pieces together with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used the fine tip glue pen to add some shine to the cone of the ice cream. Then I tied a bow with the Berry Burst metallic edge ribbon and attached it with a glue do to the topper. I also used the ribbon to go around the neck of the jar with some glue dots.

Cute and simple added touch to a little treat you could give to a friend or teacher! This would be cute as a tag for a ice cream toppings gift basket too!! Listed below are the supplies I used.

I’m sad to see Petal Garden designer series paper being retired! In fact I really want to order another pack before its gone! The colors and flowers are just beautiful! The rest of the supplies are staying!
