Ok ok let’s get to today’s project!
Today’s project I fell in love with when I was just watching some YouTube videos and came across one that The Paper Pixie shared. Her video is called Origami Mini Handbag. She mentioned that she got the project from a German demonstrator, Nadine Köller. I will post both of their links below so you can see more ideas of how to finish the mini bags off.

Nadine Köller has great pictures walking you through all the folds but the instructions are in German. I think Paper Pixie did a great video tutorial so check it out if you would like to create one. I can’t say I could walk myself let alone you through how to make it unless I watched the video a handful more times hehe

I used the beautiful designer series paper called Naturally Eclectic! The colors in the paper are so bright and vibrant! You start off with a 6×6 sheet. What I do remember is you fold it in half both ways as well as diagonal both ways. From there you have a couple scoring marks to make then it comes down to use folding! Make sure to have you bone folder ready for this project!

For my closer I punched out a 1 1/2″ circle from the Berry Burst designer series paper called Color Theory. Then punched out a 1 3/8″ scallop circle from Dapper Denim. I layered them together just with a little adhesive. I folded them in half then I just added it to the mini bag with a Gold Library clip.

Then I still wanted a sentiment so I stamped this “Hello, Friend” from A Good Day stamp set in Berry Burst. Then punched out with the classic label punch. Added it on with a glue dot to the library clip. I felt like it still needed just a little something so I made a small double bow with some Solid Pool Party Baker’s Twine (one of my favorites!!). Added the bow on with a glue dot as well. I think this mini bag is super cute!

So shout out again to Paper Pixie and Nadine Köller!

Check out Paper Pixie blog post and video here. Also check out the original post from Nadine Köller here.

Here are the supplies I used to create this mini bag. I think these would be super cute for a baby shower or even a bridal shower or birthday!
