Oh my Easter has snuck up on me! I wanted an Easter project for a class I had last week so I went searching on YouTube and found a video from Kitchen Table Stamper for this cute Easter Carton. It used retired items but I didn’t mind, I just updated it with what I had.
This was my first try making it so I just grabbed some colors. The crate starts with a 4 1/4″x 2 1/2″ brown card stock (I’m not sure which one, shock!) and scored at 1″ all around. I then stamped the hardwood background stamp with Chocolate Chip before cutting and assembling.
The chocolate carrots can be found at many stores, I got mine from the Dollar Tree. They do bulge out the crate a little but I think it helps keep them in there.
Next I used an old die called basket bunch for the grass. This the only grass die I have but there is a new grass die in the Picnic Basket Builder. I added the grass in with just a couple glue dots. This can be done before assembling all the way or slide it in after.
Next I punched out some Crushed Curry with the 1 3/8″ new scallop punch. I stamped the rabbit in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White and punched it out with the 1 1/8″ new scallop punch.
Here is Marisa Alvarez from Kitchen Table Stampers’ image and I’ll link her blog post about it, just click her image.
Isn’t it cute? I love both versions! I do miss that stamp set a lot. I have it and may have to put it to some use even though its retired. Cause I loved using it last year!
I hope you have a good Easter! I hope to have a relaxing weekend! I will have some new projects to share with you next week so make sure to follow my blog so you don’t miss a post!
