If you follow my blog you know I don’t usually post on Mondays but I decided I really wanted to do this challenge from Festive Friday! Festive Friday is a paper challenge blog and they post a challenge that you can choose one or the other or combine them. This time I chose just one, Black & White!

I haven’t made a black and white card in a while and love the challenge of it. Plus I just let my mom use my Party Panda set hehe

To get some more inspiration go check out Festive Friday to see what the designers created and other card makers shared! Click their image below to go to their post.

My upline gives us a Creative Challenge every month and this month was flowers so I wanted to incorporate flower into this card as well. I love how this card turned out. It has many layers which is one of my favorite elements in card making.

I used a Thick Whisper White card base and stamped the roses from Petal Palette in the top right corner. I wanted them to kind of peek out from the front layers. My next layer is  the black and white stripes from the Tutti-Frutti designer series paper pack. There is a back and white strip one in the Petal Passion designer series paper pack too but they are more watercolored. For this card I didn’t want to over due the watercolored look so I decided to use the more solid strips. This layer is cut at 4″ by 5 1/4″ and I folded in the top right corner.

The next layer is a piece of vellum cut to 3 1/4″ by 4 1/4″. I attached it to a Memories & More card from the Petal Passion pack. Then I added this layer to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Working up the next layer is the die cut piece of vellum that reminds me of lattice. The die is rom the Petal Palette bundle. Do you see a theme here? haha I used a lot of the Petal Passion Suite on this card! The small rose is a sticker from the Memories & More card pack. I added some Wink of Stella to the rose.

The sentiment “Life is so much better with you in it.” was rom the Petal Palette stamp set. I die cut it out of Whisper White using the medium circle from the Stitched Shapes dies. I added this with Stampin’ Dimensionals as well. So last but not least I added 3 rhinestones for my bling!
